Elastic pin coupling in the process of working is used to connect the two shafts can rotate together with mechanical equipment, transfer torque and movement of a mechanical transmission device. Metal elastic element coupling includes spring coupling, snake spring coupling, bellows coupling, film disc coupling and diaphragm coupling. Non-metallic elastic element coupling still has more applications including elastic pin coupling, rubber block coupling, tire coupling and so on. Metal elastic components are stronger than non-metal elastic components, large load transfer capacity, and there is no aging problem, long service life, affected by temperature is small, especially suitable for use in continuous operation of industrial process power equipment.

Safety coupling is to increase the safety mechanism on the basis of the ordinary coupling, once the torque overload, can make the transmission interrupt or limit the transmission of torque, so as to protect the important parts of the machine from damage. Special couplings are couplings connected by a non-mechanical means, such as hydraulic, pneumatic or magnetic transmission couplings.
