The difference between diaphragm coupling and tooth coupling
2024-12-06

Compared with the gear coupling, the diaphragm coupling has no relative sliding, does not require lubrication, sealing, no noise, no maintenance at all, convenient manufacturing, and can partially replace the gear coupling.

Diaphragm couplings are commonly used in servo systems. The diaphragm has good torque rigidity and is thin by itself, so it is easy to bend when the relative displacement load is generated, so it can accept a deviation of up to 1.5 degrees, while producing a low bearing load in the servo system.

However, the diaphragm coupling is very delicate, and it is easy to damage if it is misused or without the correct device in use, so it is necessary to err within the acceptable range of the normal operation of the coupling.

The internal structure of the drum gear coupling is very complex, and the material used has certain requirements to meet the requirements of torque and speed!

Generally speaking, the commonly used materials of 42crmo and 45 steel forgings are more, these two materials are mainly wear resistance in themselves, the higher the hardness of the material, the better the wear resistance, the greater the bearing torque, the longer the life of the coupling!
